Desired outcomes and their positive effects on lives of the poor and vulnerable people
i) Capacity for underking climate change studies increased by creating a team of scientists at NaFIRRI and net-working with other institutions and scientists to collect and share information on climate variability and change in fisheries
ii) Environmental, fisheries and socio-economic data collected, a database created, knowledge generated and adaptation and coping strategies discussed and agreed upon
iii) Fishers and riparian communities provided with awareness raising materials to equip them with strategies to adapt and cope with climate variability and change
iv) Policies, legislative and governance framework adjusted to address impact of climate variability and change and associated adaptation and coping strategies
